We Have Two Jobs Vacancies at Achievement Bute at Present

We currently have a vacancy for a Care Manager to join our small team and manage Achievement Bute’s Registered Care Service. The role of Care Manager manager is a challenging, rewarding and crucial one as it connects the desires and needs of children and families with the provision of engaging activities and excellent care. We are seeking someone who is capable of compassionately comprehending the various dynamics of our supported children’s lives, able to communicate their needs and interests to our Activity Coordinator, competent at managing our team of support workers to deliver the necessary support, and efficient in maintaining the required records, policies and liaising with relevant services as required. We are seeking an individual who is welcoming, enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed to ensuring that ALL children can experience fun, interesting and worthwhile activities of their choice.

The position constitutes regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where applicable, the position also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check.  A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the position will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Salary: £33,906pa FTE (pro rata based on 35 hour week).

Hours: 21 hours per week including weekend work. Shift pattern to be worked with some flexibility by mutual agreement.

Location: Working from our base in the centre of Rothesay, Isle of Bute. Hybrid working arrangements possible.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to assist the Care Manager in the administration of Achievement Bute’s Registered Care Service. As well as administrative support the role will include being ‘on-call’ to respond to parents and Support Workers in the course of weekend support activities and providing direct support for children with additional support needs engaging in variety of recreational activities. We are looking for someone friendly, efficient and resourceful to strengthen our team.

Salary:  £903.68 per month (equivalent to £25,698pa FTE pro rata based on 35 hour week)

Hours:  16 hours per week including some weekends working.

Location: Working from our base in Rothesay.  Some hybrid working arrangements may be possible.
